From there, Dr. Rutherford was accepted by Howard University College of Medicine in Washington DC, where he obtained his Doctorate degree in 2001.

After medical school, Dr. Rutherford performed his residency at the renowned Cleveland Clinic in South Florida, receiving extensive training and experience as an Internal Medicine physician. He graduated from that program in 2004 and was Board Certified immediately after. He spent the next 18 years practicing Internal Medicine in South Florida and was affiliated with several prestigious area hospitals, including Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Baptist Memorial Hospital and The Memorial Hospital System of South Florida. Dr. Rutherford is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

When asked what sets his practice apart, Dr. Rutherford said simply: “I genuinely care about people.” He is passionate about his practice and dedicated those who trust their care to him. He creates a relaxed environment and spends time with every patient, listening carefully to their needs and their concerns. In that way, the patient is an integral part of the

decision-making process and participates in their own health care goals. Because of this, patients have a higher level of compliance and ultimately, better results.
